Sharing something

Something you make to send gets a row in your manifest. Each step after that is logged: who it went to, whether it was published, what came back.

Sam Lee and the files are made up. The ids, printed lines and log lines came from a real run of the tool on a test folder. Nothing is sent by the tool. You send it.

Each step, as a table

One row per step: the command, what it printed, and what changed in the manifest. Ids are shown by their first 8 characters; the tool accepts that too.

What each field holds

kind

shareable, for something made to send and for something that came back.

visibility

Starts ["private"] on make. Each send drops private and adds each person, and public with --public. Something received starts visible to the people it came from.

madeAt

The day it was made or received.

sent

Each send: on, the day; to, the names; public, when it was published.

from

Who sent back something you received.

relates_to

The id of the shareable this one answers, so the two read as one exchange.

project

The project it belongs to, when you give one.

hash

A fingerprint of the contents, to tell an edit from a touch. Never shared.

offered

The day session end offered a transformation note. It is not offered again.

notes

Transformation notes attached with note: the day and the note's path.

The transformation note is a short file you fill in, from the template skills/share/transformation.md. Its parts: what I sent or made, what came back, what changed in my work, what changed in theirs, and impact. "Nothing" is an answer.

What the file looks like inside

Each step adds one line to manifest/manifest.log.jsonl. These are the lines for the steps above.
